When you create an account or place an order, we collect:

Your name and phone number, used to sign in and to contact you about orders.
Your delivery address, and — only if your device permits it — approximate GPS coordinates, used to route deliveries accurately.
Order details: items purchased, quantities, prices, and delivery status.
Messages you send to vendors or riders through the site's messaging feature.
For vendors: store details, product listings, and images you upload.
For riders: delivery history and availability status.

We do not collect or store card or bank details — all orders are paid by cash on delivery.

How we use your information

To create and secure your account, and let you sign back in.
To process orders: confirming stock, calculating delivery fees, and routing the order to the right vendor and rider.
To let vendors and riders contact you about an order in progress.
To show you your own order and message history.
To improve the reliability of our delivery and search features.

How we share your information

We share only what's necessary to fulfil an order:

The vendor you order from sees your name, phone number, and delivery address for that order.
The rider assigned to your delivery sees your name, phone number, and delivery address.
We do not sell your personal information to third parties, and we do not share it for advertising purposes.

Data storage and security

Images you upload (profile photos, product photos, store logos) are kept in a private storage bucket and are never publicly linkable — pages that display them do so through short-lived, signed links. Account passwords are never stored in plain text.

Your choices

You can review and update your name, address, and profile photo at any time from your account settings. To request a copy of your data, or to ask us to delete your account, contact us using the details below.

Children's privacy

Motkhola is intended for use by adults placing or fulfilling orders. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

If we make material changes to this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
